Venkat Ramlulu
Born in 1982, Venkat Ramulu Jogu holds an MVA in Printmaking from Kalabhavan, Shantiniketan, and a BFA in Painting from JNTU, Hyderabad. His works flow instinctively, abstractly, and minimally. With non-descriptive forms that hint at thoughts, beings, or moments, his compositions blend geometric and figurative elements. Distorted subtly in tone and shape, these symbols may carry meaning but primarily serve the visual harmony of the piece, inviting viewers into his introspective, layered mindscapes.
The 'lines', in the works move as instinctively as a heart throbs. Just like a heart, works on its own and does not need attention or effort for its functioning, the visual imagery that evolves on the picture surface rendered by Venkat flows just as naturally. They are ambiguous, minimalistic and abbreviated. They can be thoughts, people, creatures or instances, yet it is their shielded, unknown and veiled symbolism that appeals the viewer.
