“Radiance Unfolding” is a luminous celebration of place, memory, and cultural rhythm. In this expansive work, Vinita Karim layers a vibrant cityscape with boats drifting across aquamarine waters and a golden sun casting warmth over the land. The composition pulses with color and intricacy, blending miniature-like architectural motifs with sweeping movement and textured detail. Drawing from her life across cities like Rangoon, Stockholm, Dhaka, and Delhi, the painting is not a literal map, but an emotional geography where nostalgia, longing, and belonging converge. With its rich palette and touches of gold leaf, Radiance Unfolding invites viewers into a space that feels both personal and universal, a dreamlike city woven from fragments of memory and cultural fusion.

Born in Rangoon in 1962, Vinita Karim is a multidisciplinary artist whose practice bridges continents, cultures, and traditions. She holds an MFA from the University of the Philippines and has lived in cities across Asia, Africa, and Europe, shaping a visual language that merges Indian folk influences with global aesthetics. Her use of oil, acrylic, kalamkari prints, and gold leaf results in richly textured works that reflect her ongoing exploration of identity, heritage, and the fluidity of belonging. With 19 solo exhibitions worldwide, Vinita has established herself as a vital voice in contemporary art whose work continues to resonate across cultural and emotional landscapes.
